A secondary school located in Andover is currently seeking a Humanities teacher to start in January 2018 on a temporary basis originally with the opportunity to become permanent.

The school located in heart of Winchester is larger than average secondary school which serves the surrounding communities.

Due to an increasing strong academic record and their excellent reputation within the local community the school has recently grown in size with over 1200 students currently on roll and have been oversubscribed in recent years. The school currently meets the government’s floor standards, which set the minimum expectations for student’s attainment and progress with 73% of students achieving A*-C grades in Humanities in 2016.

Humanities (History and RE) Teacher:

• UK qualified teacher status (NQTs are welcome to apply)

• Teach all ability students from Year 7 to GCSE

• Plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons to raise attainment and progression

• Have excellent behaviour management and classroom presence
