History Teacher

Loaction: Wolverhampton 

Start Date: Septmeber 2025 

Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)


 

We are currently looking for an engaging and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Wolverhampton area. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students and bring the past to life through creative, thought-provoking lessons.

The successful candidate will have a passion for History and a commitment to helping students develop critical thinking skills, curiosity and a strong understanding of historical events and contexts.

Role Responsibilites: 

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with the national curriculum

  • Support students in developing analytical and evaluative skills

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide timely feedback and interventions

  • Contribute to the wider school community and attend relevant meetings or events

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for engaging students with historical content

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
