Salary: MPS/UPS – Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join our secondary school in Erdington. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality physical education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring them to develop a lifelong interest in sport, health and fitness. You will play a key role in promoting physical well-being and encouraging positive participation in extracurricular activities.

Role Responsibilites: 

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Develop students’ skills, knowledge, and confidence in a variety of sports and physical activities.

• Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Promote health and fitness awareness within the school community.

• Organise and support extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in school trips and competitions.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment.

• Collaborate with colleagues within the PE department and across the school.

Role Requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

• Relevant degree or qualification in Physical Education or Sports Science.

• Experience teaching PE at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).

• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for PE.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

• Good organisational and communication skills.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
