A vibrant and supportive secondary school in Durham is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their team at the beginning of the 2025/26 academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage and inspire students through high-quality Art teaching and to contribute to the creative culture of the school.
The Role:
- Deliver dynamic and well-structured Art lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking in the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues in a well-established Art department
- Support the school’s ethos and values through excellent teaching and pastoral care
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Art and Design within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for visual arts
- Confident classroom management and the ability to engage all learners
- A commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
