History teacher needed for South Stockport Secondary School due to an upcoming maternity cover commencing at the beginning to middle of October. This highly respected mixed comprehensive secondary school is Graded Good by Ofsted and consistently achieves year on year growth in academic achievement.

This History teaching maternity will be full time until the end of the academic year in July; you will need to have experience teaching History across KS3, KS4 and preferably A Level to be considered. You will need to take on full time responsibilities for planning and marking your own work in line with the expectations of the department.

Large in size with around 1700 students on roll the school is traditional in its nature and demographics with low levels of students eligible for free school meals or who use English as an additional language. The school can be located just off the A6 for those who drive or via a local train station and regular bus routes for those on public transport.
