Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Primary)

We are working alongside a large, well regarded primary school in York who have asked us to seek a HLTA for an immediate start.

THIS HLTA POST... is initially starting on a temporary basis, full time, 8.30 - 3.30, Monday to Friday to work covering PPA sessions across each year group in this 2-form entry school. In addition to planned PPA delivery across subjects, you may be asked to cover meetings, training courses and emergency class supervision amongst other class leading roles. Although this is starting as a temporary post, the school are highly interested in hearing from applicants who have the desire to make this role permanent, and willing to make adjustments to their timetable to welcome the right person into their permanent team.

You will be paid a competitive daily rate of £100 per day, weekly, directly to your account through PAYE. As this school is part of a wider trust, allowing you the opportunity to explore different schools, helping you find your ideal environment going forwards.
Initially you will be part of Teaching Personnels team, working on our behalf at this school. This means you have the flexibility to state if this is not your perfect placement, and we shall endeavour to find a new role for you. That said, this popular school with good community links is sure to be a great fit for any passionate practitioner.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS - Previous experience working in a UK School essential. HLTA qualification is also essential. Experience across a more than one key stage desirable. Experience of administering boosters and interventions would also be desirable.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two references covering the last 24 months of your employment
- Have an enhanced DBS for child workforce, or be willing to apply for one through us.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
