Head of Computer Science Teaching role - Twickenham - September 2018.

This is an opportunity for a talented or aspiring teacher of Computer Science who is seeking to make an impact and to develop their management responsibility as Deputy Head of Computer Science. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of science on the challenge as 2iC position and further the development and innovation of the department.

Computer Science is a strong, successful and innovative department achieving good results at all key stages. The department is very well resourced with suites of computers and high quality technician support. Staff will be teaching in their own fully equipped laboratories with interactive whiteboards. In this position you will be expected to provide engaging Science lessons to KS3. This post will also require overseeing the Computer Science Department, Managing Teachers and Mentoring NQTs.

We would like to meet experienced practitioners as Computer science teacher or a coordinator who is ready to take their career to the next level.

Criteria:

The ideal candidate must have the following:

• A formal secondary teaching qualification, either a Secondary PGCE or equivalent and hold QTS
• Able to teach subject to a high standard, GCSE primarily
• A proven track record of delivering strong results
• A willingness to actively contribute to curriculum development
• A genuine belief that every child matters
• Have a strong subject knowledge
• Have ambition and a passion for learning
• Be able to deliver outstanding classroom practice
• Have high expectations of all learners
