Teaching Assistant - Graduates

South and Central Manchester

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit graduates or upcoming graduates across south and central Manchester who are looking to pursue a career as a secondary school teacher!

We are working in partnership with a number of reputable secondary schools in the Manchester local authority who are looking for graduates of particularly English, Maths, Science, Humanities and MFL to join their Future Teachers Programme where you will begin your journey as a Teaching Assistant from September 2019, supporting pupils in your specialism. You will then have the opportunity to complete your teaching training in September 2020 within the same training school you gained experience in as a Teaching Assistant!

What is the Future Teachers Programme?

The Future Teachers Programme allows you not only to secure employment as a teaching assistant for 12 months, following the completion of your degree, but it is a clear and concise pathway onto a school based initial teacher training programme. This programme allows you to gain the necessary experience required to be confident and successful when you do decide to begin your teacher training.

  • Full time Graduate Teaching Assistant role for 12 months - Followed by the opportunity to complete your teacher training within the same school
  • Currently looking for graduates of English, Maths, Science, Humanities and MFL
  • Starting September 2019, you will be placed at one of our partner secondary schools!
  • Earn up to £1200 a month for the first year whilst gaining essential and invaluable experience as an English Teaching Assistant
  • Opportunity to complete a teacher training programme with the school upon successful completion, starting September 2020.
  • Applicants must hold a degree or be in the final year of completing one.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will be varied, allowing you to gain a substantial amount of invaluable classroom experience!

Responsibilities will include; assisting the class teacher with a range of KS3 and KS4 lessons and you will support pupils by holding intervention sessions in smaller groups or on a 1-1 basis. You will even have the opportunity to plan and deliver your own lessons!
