About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the main teacher, delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials, maintaining behaviour expectations and ensuring learning continues effectively.

This role is ideal for individuals who are confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic about supporting young people — no teaching qualification required.


Key Duties

  • Deliver pre‑set work to classes across a range of subjects
  • Manage behaviour and promote a calm, positive learning environment
  • Support students with their learning and encourage active engagement
  • Supervise lessons, cover staff absences and lead small group support when required
  • Provide handover notes and feedback to teaching staff
  • Work flexibly across different subjects and year groups
