Cover Supervisor – Winchester | Graduate Opportunity | Flexible Work

Teaching Personnel is supporting a number of welcoming and well-run secondary schools in Winchester who are seeking Cover Supervisors to start ASAP. This role is ideal for university graduates who want hands-on classroom experience, whether on a part-time, full-time or flexible basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain paid experience in schools while developing confidence in behaviour management, communication, and leadership – all essential skills for those considering teacher training, education careers, or youth-focused roles.

The Role – Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared lesson content in the absence of the usual teacher. You will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning while ensuring a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Delivering set work and instructions provided by teaching staff
  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive engagement
  • Supporting pupils to stay focused and complete assigned tasks
  • Upholding school policies and safeguarding procedures

No prior teaching qualification is required – full guidance and ongoing support are provided by Teaching Personnel.
