Cover Supervisor – Winchester | Flexible Education Roles | Start ASAP

Are you a graduate, experienced Teaching Assistant, LSA or unqualified teacher looking for flexible work in secondary schools?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of supportive and well-established secondary schools in Winchester who are seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to start ASAP. These opportunities are available on a part-time, full-time or flexible basis, making them ideal for those looking to gain experience, maintain work-life balance, or build a long-term career in education.

This role offers valuable classroom experience and is perfectly suited to individuals considering teacher training, returning to education, or seeking consistent school-based work.

The Role – Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for whole classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared lesson content while maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Delivering set work and instructions left by teaching staff
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and confidently
  • Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and school policies

No Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required for this role.
