Cover Supervisor – Andover | Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Opportunities

What is a Cover Supervisor?

Cover Supervisors play a key role in supporting schools. You will:

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
  • Deliver pre-prepared work and support learning across a range of subjects
  • Oversee tutor time and day-to-day classroom management
  • Become a trusted face around the school, gaining insight into the world of teaching

This role is an excellent way to gain real classroom experience while contributing positively to the learning environment.

Who is Suitable?

The ideal candidate is a graduate from any subject who is:

  • Keen to gain first-hand teaching experience
  • Interested in a future in secondary education or teacher training
  • Confident, responsible, and able to manage a classroom
  • Experienced or enthusiastic about working with students, including those with challenging behaviour or additional learning needs

Previous teaching experience is not required—if you have a degree and the motivation to learn, this could be the perfect role for you. Relevant experience in sports coaching, learning support, or volunteering with children or young people is a plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
