Teaching Personnel is supporting a welcoming, community-focused secondary school in Andover to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a school rated “Good” by Ofsted and explore the pathway into teaching.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital part in maintaining continuity of learning across the school day. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Creating a calm, focused and purposeful learning environment
• Supporting students with additional or special educational needs
• Building positive, professional relationships with pupils

This role is perfect for developing classroom presence, behaviour management skills and versatile subject experience.

Who We’re Looking For

• Graduates considering teacher training
• Unqualified teachers looking to build practical classroom experience
• Confident working with students aged 11–16
• Adaptable, proactive and comfortable leading a class independently
• Strong communicators with the ability to motivate and engage learners

Experience in schools or youth settings is helpful but not essential — full support is provided.
