Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools – Winchester

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in the Winchester area to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop essential skills and make a real difference to students' learning.

What does a Cover Supervisor do?

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain on task
  • Supporting students with their learning and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Reporting on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff

This role would suit:

  • University students looking for flexible, part-time work alongside studies
  • Recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in teaching or education
  • Individuals with experience in youth work, coaching, tutoring or mentoring
