Are you a graduate or aspiring teacher looking to gain practical classroom experience? Teaching Personnel are supporting a well-organised secondary school in Basingstoke who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to start in January 2026.
This role is ideal for graduates and unqualified teachers looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting. You will supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported throughout their learning.
The Role:
- Supervise classes following pre-prepared work across a variety of subjects
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment
- Support students of varying abilities and report on classroom progress
- Ensure smooth lesson delivery during staff absence
- Adhere to school policies regarding behaviour, safeguarding, and teaching
What We’re Looking For:
- Graduates or unqualified teachers eager to gain classroom experience
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Confidence working with secondary-aged students (11–16)
- Reliable, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
