The PWR team at Teaching Personnel is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for graduates interested in teaching to join a Secondary School based in Cambridge (CB2), for a one-year teacher training course.
About the Opportunity:
This one-year teacher training course offers an alternative route to achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), serving as an excellent substitute for a traditional PGCE program. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to choose and teach one of the following subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4:
- Mathematics
- Science
- Geography
- Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
- Design & Technology
Exceptional candidates with qualifications in other subjects may also be considered.
Course Structure:
Successful candidates will join the school in September 2024 and immerse themselves in the teaching profession for the entire academic year, under the guidance of experienced mentors. Here's what the course entails:
- Teaching for 4.5 days a week
- Friday afternoon debriefing sessions with mentors and fellow trainees
- Completion leading to full UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- University Graduate with a UK Degree

- Availability to enroll in September 2024 and commit to the full academic year until July 2025
