Working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is a great way of getting your foot in the door and taking your first steps into an exciting and rewarding career in education. This role will help you gain valuable experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, learning from current teachers and adding to your skill set whilst also having the opportunity to add recognised experience on your CV - putting you in a better place to secure a permanent teaching role after completing your PGCE or similar teacher training programme.
Duties as a Graduate Teaching Assistant Include:
- Assist in delivering effective teaching on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Supporting pupils in any education, behaviour or emotional difficulties they may encounter
- Help with the planning and marking of lessons
- Support the development of pupils, educational and behaviour related
- Prepare classroom recourses
- Provided feedback to teachers and parents of pupils progress and any difficulties encountered
- Help with extracurricular activities such as revision sessions
Our client school is a large school in Oldham, rated good by Ofsted and would be a great place for any graduate looking to take a step into teaching. Whether this is by working as a graduate teaching assistant, learning support, behaviour support or as a cover supervisor, this would be an excellent opportunity for anybody looking to gain experience while also earning up to £300 a week. The school has state of the art facilities and will provide everything needed to help you grow as a graduate teaching assistant and gain the experience needed to become a successful teacher in the future.
