Are you a graduate looking for work within a secondary school based in the Warrington area?

A secondary school located on the South side of central Warrington is looking to recruit a recent graduate who can work within school as a teaching assistant. This role would suit a confident and motivated graduate who is looking to pursue a future career in teaching. As a general teaching assistant, the successful graduate will be supporting within the classroom across a multitude of subjects including Maths, English, Humanities and Sciences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful graduate to gain some specific school based experience which will not only support a PGCE application but give you the experience and relevant skills as a future teacher.

  • Pay between £225 and 337.50 per week depending upon previous experience and qualification/degree specialism

The school prides itself on being an excellent school for all students, including the sixth form provision on site and has a youth-centred focus where all students are put at the forefront of education. They are therefore looking for a graduate that is assertive, reliable, adaptable and confident in all situations - having a fantastic foundation for a teaching career. The successful graduate will benefit from fulfilling a full 360 degree role where they will gain experience working within the classroom supporting students in core subjects and other areas as required. The role will also involve working with small groups of students within and outside the classroom - leading discussions and engaging students in learning.

The school is located in the south area of central Warrington close to Grappenhall, Appleton and Walton which is easily accessible via public transport with regular buses servicing the school. The school also has a large car park which can be used by all staff. The school has links with other local secondary schools as well as sixth forms, so there could be the possible opportunity to work within a nearby provision supporting students if this is of interest.
