Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEN School (Rawtenstall)
Hours: 8:50am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Location: Rawtenstall
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the team at a specialist SEN school in Rawtenstall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive educational setting, working with pupils who have a range of special educational needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Health and Social Care, Psychology, Education or a related field

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent) – desirable but not essential

  • Personal or professional experience supporting children or young people with SEN

  • A patient, resilient and empathetic approach

  • A genuine interest in working in the SEN sector

The role includes:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment

  • Promoting independence, emotional regulation and academic progress
