Behaviour Mentor
Location: Preston
Salary: £80 - £90 (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term
Are you passionate about supporting young people with behavioural needs and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated behaviour mentor to join our dynamic team in an SEN/SEMH school setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for pupils with behavioural and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Support students to re-engage with learning through positive behaviour strategies and relationship-building.

Assist teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and creating a safe, supportive learning environment.

Implement personalised behaviour plans and track pupil progress.

Act as a positive role model, promoting resilience, self-confidence, and respect.
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs (education, youth work, or residential childcare experience considered).

Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situations.

Relevant training (Team Teach, MAPA, or similar) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
