Residential Support Workers needed
Location: Ribchester, Lancashire
Contract: 3-Week Rolling Shift Pattern (Full-Time)
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
We are seeking dedicated SEN Support Workers to join our team in Ribchester, supporting children and young people with special educational needs in a residential and educational setting. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential SEN environment.

Assist with daily routines, personal care, and educational activities.

Implement individual support plans and encourage independence.

Work as part of a supportive team to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively, using de-escalation techniques where appropriate.
Requirements:

Previous experience in SEN, residential childcare, or youth support is desirable but not essential.

Resilience, patience, and strong communication skills.

Flexibility to work a 3-week rolling shift pattern (including evenings, weekends, and some sleep-ins).

A valid driver’s licence is an advantage but not required.

Must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
