Residential Support Workers needed

Location: Ribchester, Lancashire
Contract: 3-Week Rolling Shift Pattern (Full-Time)
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We are seeking dedicated SEN Support Workers to join our team in Ribchester, supporting children and young people with special educational needs in a residential and educational setting. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential SEN environment.

  • Assist with daily routines, personal care, and educational activities.

  • Implement individual support plans and encourage independence.

  • Work as part of a supportive team to create a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively, using de-escalation techniques where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in SEN, residential childcare, or youth support is desirable but not essential.

  • Resilience, patience, and strong communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work a 3-week rolling shift pattern (including evenings, weekends, and some sleep-ins).

  • A valid driver’s licence is an advantage but not required.

  • Must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
