Opening for a graduate and prospective future teacher looking for a long term support opportunity where you can progress onto a school based contract. Opportunity to transition onto the school’s teacher training programme.
Are you a recent graduate of Maths looking for a teaching assistant role to start in September or sooner following the Easter break?
A highly reputable secondary school located in Macclesfield is looking for a Maths graduate to join their support team following the Easter break (or in September). The successful Maths graduate will be primarily supporting within the large Maths department of this secondary school working with students across the full age and ability range as instructed by the Head of Maths.
This secondary school located in the Cheshire education authority of Macclesfield has identified Maths as an area where students require additional support with targeted intervention due to take place. The successful Maths graduate will be given a specific cohort/list of students who they will work with in small groups each week ensuring that they are understanding the subject matter being taught within their lessons.
Teaching Personnel’s Future Teacher’s Programme is something which is being rolled out with a number of secondary schools in the South Manchester area; being very applicable and relevant for recent graduates looking to secure work within a secondary school setting. There is the opportunity to secure work for a full academic year where you will gain experience working in the school environment. You would then progress onto a school based contract and a school centred direct teaching training programme where you become a qualified teacher. This is a highly sought after route for prospective teachers and a fantastic opportunity for confident and motivated graduates.
The successful Maths graduate should therefore consider themselves a subject specialist who is comfortable and confident with their Maths ability up to GCSE level.
Key aspects of this Maths graduate Teaching Assistant position:
- Work with small groups of students each week across the age and ability range
- Highly supportive and extremely reputable secondary school in the Macclesfield area
- Easily accessible via public transport given it’s proximity to the city centre of Manchester and nearby areas of Stockport, Trafford and Cheshire East
- Pay will be dependent upon experience of working with students in a school setting; earn up to GBP1300 per month
- Support primarily in the Maths department of this large secondary school
This is a highly supportive secondary school located close to the train station in Macclesfield. Any Maths graduates that are able to commute to this area, will find this school very easily accessible. Any Maths graduates with experience of working with young people or tutoring are encouraged to apply for consideration.
The school are keen to meet with applicable Maths graduates during the weeks between February half term and Easter.
