About the role

We are working closely with a welcoming and well-led primary school in Exeter that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team. 

You will be a part of a collaborative and caring staff team, delivering high quality teaching that inspires confidence, resilience and achievement during this pivotal year. 

 

Key Information

  • Start Date: 2nd March

  • Contract Type: Full-time

  • Pay Rate: M1–M6 (dependent on experience), paid weekly


✏️ Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Teaching a Year 6 class across the full KS2 curriculum

  • Preparing pupils academically and emotionally for SATs and the transition to secondary school

  • Planning engaging, structured, and inclusive lessons to meet a range of learning needs

  • Assessing progress and using data to support pupil achievement

  • Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)

  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Year 6 expectations

  • A commitment to supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
