EYFS • KS1 • KS2 | March Start | Long-Term Opportunity

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £15 per hour (depending on experience)


Are you a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? We’re recruiting for an inclusive primary school in the Speke (L24) area seeking an SEN TA to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 from March.

Job Description

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Assist across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, adapting support to different developmental stages.
  • Support behaviour regulation, communication needs and emotional well‑being.
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCo and external specialists to deliver personalised learning plans.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced supporting children with SEND (including Autism, SEMH, cognition & learning or communication needs).
  • Patient, nurturing and proactive in meeting children’s needs.
  • Adaptable across different age groups and learning styles.
  • Skilled at building trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Passionate about promoting independence and emotional resilience.

Speke offers excellent transport connections, making commuting easy:

  • Good bus links connecting Speke to Liverpool City Centre, Garston, Allerton and surrounding areas.
  • Close to South Parkway Station, offering rail and bus connections across the Liverpool City Region.
  • Convenient access to major routes including the A561 for travel by car.
