Job description

History classrooms work best when expectations are clear.

We’re working with secondary schools seeking confident History teachers who can lead from the front, establish calm authority, and keep students focused on structured, purposeful learning.

This role suits professionals who value discipline, clarity, and high standards — and who can quickly create a productive learning environment.

What You Can Expect

  • History-focused timetables across KS3 and KS4

  • Schools with defined behaviour systems and visible SLT support

  • Clear pre-placement briefings before entering any classroom

  • Flexible options — short-term, ongoing, or longer placements

  • No meetings, data deadlines, or after-school commitments

  • Weekly pay with transparent daily rates

We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Secondary History Teachers (QTS / equivalent)

  • Confident classroom practitioners

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly while maintaining structure

  • Teachers who can engage students while keeping standards high

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
