SEN Tutor – Kettering
Kettering, Northamptonshire
Flexible Hours (Part-Time / Full-Time Available)
£25–£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to work with students in the Kettering area, providing personalised, high-quality support that makes a real difference.
The Role
You will work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils who may have additional needs such as:

Autism (ASC)
-
ADHD
-
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
-
Learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia)
-
Students out of mainstream education
Sessions may take place in the home, school, or community setting, depending on the individual student’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
-
Plan and deliver tailored lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
-
Adapt teaching strategies to meet EHCP targets and individual learning styles
-
Build positive, trusting relationships with students and families
-
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
-
Support students in building confidence, independence, and engagement with learning
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, or significant tutoring experience
-
Experience working with SEN pupils in UK settings
-
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
-
Reliable, patient, and empathetic approach
-
Ability to travel within the Kettering area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
