Graduate Teaching Assistant Bolton

Do you wish to become a teacher within a secondary school environment? Are you looking to complete to undertake your PGCE in the future?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit Graduate Teaching assistants for a client school in the Bolton area.

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2018 start
  • Part time/Full time positions available
  • Must hold a degree combined with A-levels in your chosen subject
  • You can expect to earn in the range of £1000 - £1200 a month
  • Previous experience working within secondary education desirable

This school has highlighted that they would like to recruit staff with a desire to become a secondary school teacher in the near future. As a Graduate teaching assistant you will be tasked with working with pupils who may otherwise struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support in their studies. You will be assisting the teacher in class helping them manage behaviour of students and looking to reduce incidents of low level disruption. You will receive full support from the class teachers and will be set tasks throughout the lesson. You must be comfortable in dealing with groups of students as you may be asked to lead small intervention sessions with students that are behind in work.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
