Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an ambitious, enthusiastic and committed Graduate Learning Support Assistant that is looking to further develop their career at one of our partner secondary schools that is based in Wigan.

This Graduate Learning Support role would suit a graduate wanting to make an impact and have the adaptability to provide support to the educational, social and emotional development of pupils at KS3 and KS4.

• Graduate Learning Support Assistant - Full-time role starting in September
• Competitive pay with earnings of up to £1250 a month
• Must hold or be willing to apply for a DBS and register it to the update service
• Previous experience working with students aged 11-16 preferred but not essential

Previous experience in an education based setting or working closely with students who are aged 11-16 is desirable. However, applications from candidates considering a career in pastoral support or in teaching are also encouraged. The role of a Learning Support Assistant can be the perfect preparation if you are due to complete or submit an application for a teacher training course in the future.

Duties of a Learning Support Assistant will include supporting students through encouragement and motivation, liaising with teachers as to progress and general feedback and ensuring that the ethos of the school is promoted to allow the integration of all students.

Applicants interested in the role of a Learning Support Assistant will be role models to students within the school at all times and must set a good example in terms of conduct, dress and professionalism.

The school located close the East Lancashire Road near the areas of Tyldesley and Astley. This offers excellent accessibility to the surrounding areas with Ashton-in-Makerfield and the areas of Salford only a short drive away. In their most recent Ofsted report, the school were graded 'Good' across the board and have since highlighted that they would like to push for 'Outstanding' in the future
