Unqualified Teaching for a Graduate– Secondary School in Bournemouth.
Are you a graduate considering a career in teaching but wish to gain classroom management experience to help support a future PGCE application?
A secondary school located close to the centre of Bournemouth are currently looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team ASAP on a flexible rolling contract!
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in secondary teaching!
Role and Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supporting a local secondary school in Bournemouth with teacher absences
- Taking a register and delivering pre set work to full classes when teachers are absent due to short term sickness or training days
- Supervising the class and ensuring pupils are getting on with the work set
- Confidence and behaviour management is required for this role – previous experience in a similar role or with young people is extremely desirable
The successful Cover Supervisor will be on a rolling contract with the school, through Teaching Personnel, which means you will be called first when the school require cover for absences. Due to the nature of some absences, this could be at short notice but sometimes pre planned. We require applicants to be flexible and have some availability most weeks for the role of Cover Supervisor.
