  • Are you a recent graduate who is looking for an opening into the education sector?
  • Do you want to enrol on a PGCE course, but want to gain practical experience first?
  • Do you want to help raise student attainment, and have a real impact on student’s lives?

An opportunity has arisen for graduates who are aspiring to become teachers in the future. This presents an amazing chance for those who may lack classroom/teaching experience, to be able to fully immerse themselves within a school environment. Furthermore, we encourage applicants who may already have some school experience to also apply.

Whether it be ‘in class’ subject support, or assisting students with SEN, the programme allows a vast array of experience to be gained across the school. It is vital that the given individual is exceptionally motivated, and places real emphasis on ensuring that every pupil is able to fully maximise their potential. On completion of the programme, the given individual will have a much clearer path with regards to which teacher training/course they may wish to complete. Teaching personnel will continue to support the individual to ensure that their needs are met before, during and after the programme.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Assisting full time members of staff with planning lessons, as well as preparation of educational resources.
  • Acting as a cover supervisor when required – ensuring that pupils are fully focused on pre-set tasks, as well as managing behaviour expectations.
  • Helping those with SEN, thus gaining quality experience in managing the needs of pupils who may find the learning process difficult.
  • Real potential for permanent employment within the worked school, based on performance and engagement with the programme.
  • Pay - GBP275-350 per week based on prior experience.

For more information on this role, please contact Emily Billington to register your details.
