Teacher of Geography – Maternity Cover – January 2026 Start

Teaching Personnel are working with a successful secondary school in Hampshire who are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join their thriving department from January 2026 to cover maternity leave (anticipated until August 2026).

This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a department recognised for its outstanding results and popularity at GCSE and A Level. Geography is one of the school’s most successful subjects, with excellent outcomes that reflect both the enthusiasm of students and the dedication of staff. The role offers the chance to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and ideally A Level, within a collaborative and forward-thinking Humanities faculty.

About the Role:

• Full-time or part-time maternity cover starting January 2026 (anticipated until August 2026)
• Teach Geography across KS3, KS4 and potentially A Level
• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity and academic excellence
• Contribute to a supportive, ambitious and high-performing department
• Work within a school community that values wellbeing, collaboration, and continuous development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography education
• Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
