Geography Teacher

Are you a Geography specialist who is seeking a new challenge? Do you envisage yourself teaching at an Outstanding school in South Manchester?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school located in South Manchester, in order to recruit a Geography Teacher. The secondary school is located a short drive South of Manchester city centre, and is an oversubscribed co-educational establishment. The schools catchment area means the cohort of students are multicultural. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded Outstanding in all areas. The school is seeking a Geography Teacher who has a passion for their subject, and can infect pupils with their enthusiasm. The successful Geography Teacher will be able to deliver Geography to KS4, and display good behavioural and classroom management skills. Teaching another of the Humanities to KS3 is preferable but not essential.

Main Points of Geography Teaching position:

  • Pay rate in line with scale point

This Geography Teaching vacancy is for a full time, on going position, starting in January 2019. There is an opportunity for a school based contract for the successful Geography teacher, following an introduction from Teaching Personnel. The school are seeking a Geography Teacher who has excellent subject knowledge, and will be able to engage pupils across from all ability levels, and across the Key Stages. The successful Geography Teacher will display good behaviour and classroom management skills, and will teach up to KS4.

Application are encouraged from Geography specialist who are NQT's, up to those who are highly experienced teachers.
