Are you a Geography Teacher looking for work in the Clitheroe area?
Teaching personnel are working in partnership with a school in Clitheroe to recruit a Geography Teacher to join their successful humanities department. The school requires a Teacher Full time to deliver Geography up to GCSE level and some History to KS3. The position has become available due to the sudden resignation, with immediate effect, of one of the schools Geography Teachers. Should a candidate get on well in school the Head Teacher is likely to make a permanent position available.
The school is a smaller than average school with approximately 650 pupils on roll. The school has gone through a considerable change in recent months. As a result of this the school has made considerable improvement to results and behaviour of pupils. In the near future the school is looking to transition to an academy status. During this transition the school will gain significant support from other schools associated with the academy trust to make further rapid improvements for the new academic year.
NQT's and experienced Geography teachers would be considered for the role. The school is looking for a candidate with a good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum who would be confident planning and teaching lessons to a variety of pupil abilities and backgrounds.
A successful candidate will benefit from the following:
- Negotiable pay rates depending on experience
- Potential for a permanent position for a suitable candidate
- Excellent school location with good transport links
