‘Good’ graded Ofsted school seeking Newly Qualified Geography teacher for a full time role permanent NQT position teaching KS3/KS4 to start in September 2020.

Permanent salary: GBP24,293 to GBP41,483 per annum.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Geography NQT on behalf of one of our partner secondary schools in the Sutton area from September 2020. The incoming Geography teacher will be on a permanent contract through to July 2021 initially, due to a gap in the department there is a strong possibility of obtaining progressing to a Head of Department role following a successful year.

  • Full time Geography Teacher from September 2020 (permanent position)
  • Teaching both KS3 and KS4 courses
  • 12 month contract on a permanent basis for a NQT
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP23,720-GBP39,406) and Outer London weighting
  • Join a successful department with a proven track record of raising attainment in Geography and Humanities

Teaching Personnel’s  partner secondary school is situated in the Sutton area of South London, and is accessible via the local train network from London Bridge as well as a number of bus routes (there is also car parking facilities available). The school has excellent links with the local community and has modern facilities throughout due to recent refurbishments.

The client school based in Sutton are seeking prospective candidates who have experience at teaching GCSE Geography from their placements  and are seeking to pursue a career in the school. This role will involve full departmental responsibilities including both planning and marking. Planning is usually done collaboratively during the dedicated and timetabled department time. The post is suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) that may be looking for their first introductory role, as well as experience teachers looking for the next step in their career. Applicants should hold QTS or have relevant teaching qualifications.
