Teaching Personnel are excited to offer an opportunity to join a highly developed Science department within a secondary school on the Wirral.

This Wirral based secondary school is a slightly-smaller-than-average-sized secondary school with an above-average proportion of students known to be eligible for pupil premium funding. The ideal candidate will have experience in engaging disaffected children with low self-esteem who may suffer with some anxiety and or anger management challenges.

In addition to supporting students in Science you will be required to prepare and supply equipment, solutions and materials requested by teachers, making sure to correctly display necessary signs for any hazardous materials. Maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and students is of the upmost importance and due care must be taken at all times. In addition to setting up apparatus before lessons you will be required to wash and clean areas once lessons have ended, repair apparatus when needed, test electrical equipment, undertake regular stock control and support teachers and students in practical lessons.

To be considered for this role you must be / have;

*Passionate about Science and aiding children’s progress

*A degree and A-levels within Science and a strong academic background

*Classroom or tutoring experience with the Science syllabus is an advantage
