Science Teacher, Liverpool

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a teacher of Science for a “good” Secondary faith school in the close to Liverpool central area. Attainment within our client school has improved significantly and students achieve well. Previously having very low attaining standards, students are now achieving at least in line with national averages, sometimes exceeding them. The Academy is highly regarded within the catholic archdiocese due to it’s strong leadership skills and successful reputation of their executive Headteacher. Any Science Teachers applying for this post will benefit from;

*Be part of the Catholic Archdiocese school network; family of 37 Catholic Secondary Schools and Sixth Form Colleges located within the Liverpool Archdiocese that operates across eight Local Authorities (Halton, Liverpool, Lancashire, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, Wigan and Warrington).

*Sophisticated system of peer to peer professional and leadership development (CPD) supporting professionals from entry as NQTs through middle leadership and onto senior leadership roles.

You will be teaching three branches of Science by a subject specialist, targeting the Higher Level course, covering all aspects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

To be considered for this role you must be / have;

FQT or NQT status

Recent experience in teaching Science to both KS3 / GCSE Students

Good/ Outstanding classroom management skills.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
