We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants to provide support in an education setting near Blandford Forum. This PRU caters for children that have been excluded from mainstream schools due to their behaviour and needs.

You will provide direct support to the students in their learning environment in both a group and individual setting. Taking an active role in wide range of classroom and physical activities throughout the academic year; assisting and working closely with the Class Teacher and Teaching Assistant to contribute to lessons.

Your main duties will include:

Supporting the students alongside colleagues in the classroom, during break periods and at lunch times

Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of each student’s stage of development regarding assessment, communication, ISPs and and management programmes

Supporting the Class Teacher in planning and preparing for educational visits and school journeys and accompany students on such visits

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
