Are you a teacher looking for a flexible role to suit your current availability? Are you interested in a General Cover role?
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of Secondary Schools in Salford aiding them in recruiting General Cover Teachers following the October half term break 2019. Due to many schools proposing an increase in pupils for the new academic year, they are looking for extra General Cover Teachers to make sure all students are supported at all times.
A General Cover Teacher position is the ideal role for applicants looking for a flexible role that also provides them with the opportunity to gain skills and experience in a Secondary School.
Application requirements
- Must have transferable teaching experience to work within Secondary education.
- Any experience with learning or behavioural difficulties is desirable but not essential.

- Full time and part time roles available to suit your availability from October 2019.
- Until the end of the academic year 2020 in the first instance, with the possibility of this being extended.
- Opportunity to work in a variety of different schools across the area of Salford.
- Supporting the learning of pupils across all subject areas ranging in levels of learning ability
- Delivering pre-set work and leading classes in the absence of teachers.
- Earn up to £300 per week, depending on previous experience and responsibilities.
- Opportunity to work with pupils who have learning or behavioural difficulties.
Within this role the successful applicants will hold a number of role and responsibilities including;
- Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
- Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.
- Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities.
- Covering a range of classes in different subject areas
- Supporting pupils varying in ages (11-16) and learning ability.
- Possibility of working with learning or behavioural difficulties.
Our client schools are located across Salford with access from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Bury and central Manchester via the M66 and A58 for candidates with their own transportation. For non-drivers, the schools can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester including Bury and Bolton.
