SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Start Date: Easter 2026
Position: Long-term / Full Time

We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from Easter on a full-time basis.

This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, remain engaged in the classroom and feel supported throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND

  • Supporting learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo

  • Assisting with emotional regulation, routines and behaviour where required

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement

  • Ensuring the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with SEND (school-based experience preferred)

  • A patient, caring and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Commitment to supporting a child’s individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
