KS1 & KS2 Teaching Assistant

Full-time / Part-time Opportunities
Competitive Rates of Pay – £13.75–£14.50 per hour
Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch (Dorset)

Primary schools across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 & KS2 Teaching Assistants to join their welcoming and supportive teams. These roles provide excellent opportunities to work across a range of year groups, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally while gaining valuable classroom experience within mainstream primary settings.

About the Role

You will be working within KS1 or KS2 classrooms, supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities, behaviour management and delivering small-group or 1:1 interventions. Depending on the needs of the school, you may support pupils with additional learning needs, deliver targeted catch-up programmes, or assist with whole-class teaching.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with primary-aged pupils (KS1 and/or KS2)

  • Confidence supporting children with a range of learning abilities

  • A positive, adaptable and proactive approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH or Dyslexia) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
