1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Central Bournemouth
Full Time | Immediate / Easter Start | Long-Term Opportunity

Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference?

We are working with one of our lovely, supportive mainstream primary schools located in the heart of Bournemouth who are seeking a dedicated 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a child who requires additional support to access learning, build confidence and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role:

  • Providing dedicated 1-1 support tailored to the child’s individual needs

  • Supporting both academic progress and social/emotional development

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions

  • Helping to create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment

  • Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)

  • Be patient, calm and consistent in their approach

  • Have strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Be proactive, adaptable and able to build positive relationships

  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential with experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
