Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Start Date: Easter 2026

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a range of mainstream primary schools and are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to start after Easter holidays.

This role will involve providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and feel supported throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with additional needs

  • Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional development

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Following individual support plans and school guidance

  • Ensuring the pupil is safe, supported, and included at all times

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)

  • Is patient, caring, and adaptable

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing

  • Is reliable and happy to commit to a full-time role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
