1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Bournemouth (BH7)
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time, term-time
Pay: £350–£550 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Teaching Personnel, the UK’s market-leading education recruitment agency, is working in partnership with one of our lovely mainstream primary schools in Bournemouth (BH7) to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting April 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs

  • Supporting learning, engagement and emotional regulation throughout the school day

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour

  • Supporting the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties)

  • Be patient, nurturing and resilient

  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning

  • Be committed to a long-term, full-time role
