Experienced Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and reliable Teaching Assistant to work full time within a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed TA who is confident supporting learning across the primary age range and is passionate about helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.

The Role

As a full-time Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons

  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning

  • Providing additional support to pupils with varying needs, including SEN

  • Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation of resources

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

  • Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress

You will play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working in a primary school setting

  • Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be patient, adaptable and proactive

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

Relevant TA qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with strong school-based experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
