Job description

Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Bournemouth
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth. This role will involve working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils, supporting their learning and helping them stay engaged in the classroom.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in a school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (SEN)

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning

  • Assisting the class teacher during lessons

  • Helping pupils stay focused, confident and engaged

  • Supporting the overall classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, supportive and reliable

  • Comfortable working with pupils who need additional support

  • Passionate about helping children progress in their learning

Previous experience working with children, in education, care, coaching or youth work would be beneficial but is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
