Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Bournemouth – Easter Start

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming schools in Bournemouth from the Easter term.

This is a full-time position supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who is relocating to the area. The child has ADHD and requires a consistent, positive role model to act as a buddy throughout the school day – providing guidance, structure, and encouragement to help them thrive both academically and socially.

The Role:

  • Full-time position starting after Easter

  • 1:1 support for a child with ADHD

  • Providing emotional regulation support and clear boundaries

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo

  • Supporting engagement, focus, and positive behaviour strategies

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced supporting children with ADHD and additional needs

  • Calm, patient, and resilient

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Able to build trusting, supportive relationships

  • Proactive and confident in implementing strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
