Qualified English Teacher

Location: Birmingham 

Start Date: Spring Term

Pay Rate: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role:

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a qualified English teacher to work in secondary schools across the Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed teacher to join supportive schools and make a real impact on student progress and attainment.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements

  • Support students of varying abilities and promote a positive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with department staff and senior leadership

Role requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to get one– essential

  • Recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A genuine passion for English and student development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
