Cover supervisor – Tameside

Due to an unexpected absence in our client schools cover team, there is a need for a cover supervisor to join them on a full time basis until July 2017, with a possibility of this continuing into the next academic year.

- Invaluable experience of working in a secondary school for those with aspirations of going into teaching

- Secured work for remainder of this academic year and possibly beyond

- Gain experience in a range of subjects across 11 – 16

- Work through Teaching Personnel initially, before possibility to secure school contract

- Secondary academy, short distance from the East of Manchester

- Rates of pay dependant on levels of experience (£50 to £65 per day)

Our client school is a modern secondary academy with less than 900 students currently enrol. The school is situated in a purpose built site with excellent facilities for incoming staff, including interactive learning spaces to engage students with their lessons. The most recent Ofsted inspection showed the comprehensive action plan in place the past 5 years, has turned the school into a “Good” school with signs of continued improvement. The incoming cover supervisor will join an established cover team and report directly into their line manager with responsibility for associate teaching staff. The school is ideally placed off Ashton Old Road, past Ardwick coming from Manchester.

This position as a full time cover supervisor is ideal for a graduate looking to gain an introduction into secondary education, and those with previous experience in this capacity will be highly desirable. Though secondary education isn’t a necessity to apply, applicants will need to have experience working with 11-16 year olds previously, whether it in a tutoring or coaching capacity.
