Year 2 Teacher – Reputable School in Blackpool
QTS Required (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching across KS1 would be preferable.
The Headteacher of a reputable Primary School in Blackpool is seeking an established Primary Teacher with experience across KS1 OR LKS2. The Headteacher is keen to appoint a Year 2 class teacher, however appreciates that some candidates may have experience and skills gained from teaching Y1 or Y3 that they can transfer to this year group.. The school is located in the South Shore area and is easily commutable by car, train or bus. There are a number of children who require additional support and this means there will be additional pressure for the class teacher to build strong relationships and lay down boundaries with behaviour. It is also important that the applying teachers hold strong curriculum knowledge and are able to deliver the framework effectively to a number of ability groups.
The school is a large setting; therefore collaborative planning is encouraged to improve consistency of the curriculum and development of best practise. The school are currently graded as GOOD by Ofsted and are currently looking to improve standards further in school in order to gain an OUTSTANDING grading. The behaviour in school is good on the main part; there are some isolated incidents were children will misbehave and so it is important that the school’s behaviour policy is followed consistently.
What is the Head teacher looking for?
The Head teacher is looking for a hard working and energetic practitioner who is able to build strong relationships with the children, parents and of course – staff! We are also looking for an individual who will contribute at staff meetings, staff INSETs and go above and beyond by attending parent’s evenings and by writing reports. The Head teacher is ideally looking for an experienced teacher however will consider Newly Qualified Teachers who hold strong references. This is an excellent opportunity for either a fully inducted experienced or newly qualified teacher.
What do you need to do to secure the role?
To apply you must have the above pre-requisites. You must also apply through sending an up to date CV and cover email. The Head teacher is keen to interview and observe at least two teachers. This will take place before 20th December with a decision on the same day.

As you will be contracted to Teaching Personnel whilst working in this role, any vetting, pay, HR and other employment related issues will be dealt with by Teaching Personnel. Pay rates for the day will be negotiated on offer of the role. Working hours are flexible as the demand of a school working day will vary throughout the working week.
