Future Teachers Programme
Teaching Personnel are working with a large successful secondary school in Trafford who are looking to enrol a number of graduates on to their Future Teachers Programme.
We welcome applications from graduates of Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Languages and PE.
What is the Future Teachers Programme?
Teaching Personnel's Future Teachers Programme is designed to address the shortage of teaching in the UK by supporting graduates who are considering a career in teaching but wish to gain practical paid school based experience prior to enrolling on formal teaching training.
Graduates will work as a subject specialist Teaching Assistant for one academic year, supporting in a variety of roles and helping them decide if teaching is the right career for them. Ongoing support will be provided for those who have little experience and all graduates will be assigned a Teacher mentor to provide support throughout the academic year. Best of all, all graduates will receive a weekly payment of up to ÂŁ300 working on a full time basis, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3pm.
Our client school is located in the borough of Trafford and has approximately 1500 pupils on roll; they have a thriving Sixth Form and a proven record of academic excellence. The school has a National reputation for providing quality education and has consistent high levels of attainment across all year groups. Due to the schools dedicated team of teaching and support staff, the schools is one of the most successful and popular, over-subscribed schools in Trafford.
Highlights of the Future Teachers Programme
- Full time role working as a Teaching Assistant in your subject specialist department
- Payment of up to ÂŁ1200 per month paid on a weekly basis of ÂŁ300 per week
- Opportunity to earn a place on our client schools initial teacher training course (SCITT)
- Ongoing support provided by a teacher mentor and Teaching Personnel
